My Supplies: Digital Printing

HP Printer: M454dw

  • What: I use this printer for almost all my digital printing. It feeds envelopes really well and the white ink component is clutch. The quality is also great.

  • Ink

    • White: I order my white ink from Ghost. You can get knock off ink for the C, M, & Y colors if you aren’t technically using them (only printing white)

    • Color: if you will also use this printer for color ink like I do, I recommend purchasing genuine HP ink cartridges. They print way better quality.

Tips:

  • If you use this for both color and white ink, I recommend saving empty cartridges to use when printing white. The ink is expensive, and this way you don’t waste color ink when you print white. I’m not sure why it does, but I find that even printing only white ink somehow uses up my color cartridges a little as well.

  • If you have issues with paper or envelopes feeding, I find that bending the paper a bit so its a little curved going into the printer helps it feed through better.

  • Make sure to follow Ghosts recommendations for installing the ink.

  • I make default print settings for printing in white ink only & color. For white ink, you want to change settings so that you’re printing “black only” (since you are using that K cartridge as white) I can do a separate post on print settings if you guys want! Comment below if so :)

canon Printer: PIXMA PRO 100

  • What: I use this primarily for larger sheets of paper. It can hold up to 13x19’’ sheets so I often use it to print multiple details cards all-together at once. This printer does not print white ink. I use the HP most of the time but like to have this incase one is acting up.

  • Ink

    • Bulk Pack: I typically order this bulk pack on amazon

Envelopes and Paper: Announcement Converters

  • Why: They have all the options, good customer service, and ship quickly. I had some bad customer service experiences with Cards & Pockets and don’t order from them anymore, but i think they have gotten better and are a good option for smaller quantities.
